W&B recently hosted another themed lecture entitled “What Foreign In-House Clients Want -- Ten Tips to Keep Your GCs Happy”. The speaker, Mr. Richard Grams, is a partner at FitzGerald Lawyers, an association of W&B in Hong Kong.
During the lecture, Mr. Grams described some of his experiences over the 30 plus years, explained the needs and demands of corporate General Counsels, and provided practical tips. He used two cases featuring cooperation between two law firms and corporate legal teams to illustrate the importance of elements such as communication skills and cultural background when communicating with corporate GCs. He also caught the attention of every lawyer in the room by identifying ten issues that GCs look for in outside counsel, and by providing insight into how to manage expectations and communicate effectively with GCs.
