On the afternoon of October 28^th, 2016, a delegation headed by Mr. Yongcheng Qian, Deputy Director of the Guangdong Administration for Industry and Commerce and Chairman of the Trademark Association, traveled to Watson & Band’s offices for an official visit. Other members of the delegation included Ms. Li Wu, Deputy Commissioner for Trademarks; Mr. Shao Qiaozhen, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Trademark Association; and Mr. Shen Yu from the Shanghai AIC Trademark Section. The delegation engaged in a group discussion with Mr. Shenmin Xu, Vice President of Watson & Band Management Group.

During the discussions, Mr. Shenmin Xu provided an introductory briefing on Watson & Band’s history, development, management model and typical cases, and he held lively discussions with the Guangdong delegation on management characteristics, business development and talent training among law firms and IP agencies.

According to Mr. Yongcheng Qian, since Watson & Band’s achievements in the IP rights field are commonly recognized within the industry, this visit to Watson & Band was organized for Guangdong Trademark Association members at the urging of trademark agencies. Mr. Qian hopes that the Guangdong provincial IP agencies will be inspired by their visit, and that the sharing of experiences and the strengthening of communications between Watson & Band and the Guangdong IP agencies will continue.
