The design phase of the “Open Spaces along the East Bund of the Huangpu River” (the “Project”) was recently launched. Centering on the “Walking Along the East Bund” theme, the process of worldwide solicitation for concept proposals and public consultation will proceed simultaneously with the design phase. The 21-km long riverfront strip between the Yangpu Bridge and the Xupu Bridge is planned for completion by the end of 2017 and will feature waterfront trails and riverside grassland designed for walking and recreational activities. In addition, through the addition of featured themes and cultural projects, themed sections with distinguishing characteristics and multi-functionality will be completed by the end of 2018 to connect scenic spots such as Lujiazui, Expo Park and Qiantan and form a cultural hub along the East Bund.

W&B will provide full legal services for the Project as permanent legal counsel for the main property developers of the East Bund of the Huangpu River -- Shanghai East Bund Investment（Group） Co., Ltd. and its subsidiary Shanghai Huangpu River East Bank Development and Investment Co., Ltd.
