W&B has commenced a series of 2015 Lawyer Training and Evaluation programs to enhance the judgment, focus and case summarization abilities of young lawyers,. The first program was held in W&B’s multifunctional hall on May 7^th, 2015, with W&B partners Xiaobo He, Liming Zhang, Junliang Qian and Xiaosu Zhu forming a panel of judges.

W&B civil and commercial litigation attorneys Haoran Xing, Yueyue Zhang and Liqun Jin were the first trainees to participate, displaying their skills with examples and commentary on civil and commercial cases based on causes of action such as the validity of corporate guarantees, shareholders’ right to know, advance notice registration of mortgages and incremental guarantee liability. Judges Xiaobo He, Liming Zhang and Junliang Qian commented on the trainees’ performance, communication skills and logical reasoning abilities. They also proposed that the trainees in the upcoming program cite more provisions from statutes and judicial interpretations during their presentations so that the audience can　better understand their expertise in specific areas of practice.

The series of Lawyer Training and Evaluation programs will last five months at the pace of one or two programs per month. So far, thirty-three young lawyers have signed up for the programs, indicating that the programs are well-received all over the firm. Watson & Band has paid great attention to the training of young lawyers ever since the establishment of the firm, and it is expected that these programs will help the lawyers to greatly enhance their professional skills in the service of their clients.
