On the afternoon of November 6^th, 2017 Mr. Jing Chen, Vice President and General Counsel of INESA Group Co., Ltd. paid a visit to Watson & Band, together with the company’s Senior Legal Manager, Yu Zhao and other legal directors of key industrial groups under the INESA Group.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Watson & Band’s managing partners as well as the management team of Watson & Band IP Agency Ltd. and the directors of our various service departments. W&B Managing Partner Ms. Jean Yang provided the INESA team with a brief introduction to the W&B Group, W&B Law Offices and W&B IP Agent Ltd. The introduction covered their respective development priorities and fields of expertise, the establishment of branch offices, the expansion of professional teams and the major accomplishments. Ms. Yang also elaborated on the special service project that W&B will provide for INESA Group and its subordinate entities.

Mr. Chen praised W&B for its provision of services on past occasions and elaborated on key practical issues, such as legal risk control for state-owned capital and overseas mergers & acquisitions. He also accurately analyzed the new cooperation between enterprises and lawyers, and he elucidated the three development stages of the relationship between law firms/lawyers and enterprises (i.e. outside services counseling → professional advising → business partnership). He asserted that in-house legal counsel should fully cooperate with outside counsel, dive deep into the front lines of enterprise operations, focus on the front end of enterprise business practices, and provide comprehensive and dynamic enterprise legal risk control services.
