The World Intellectual Property Conference hosted by the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (“AIPPI”) was held in Milan Italy from September 16^th to 20^th, 2016. Shenmin Xu, Chairman of Watson & Band Intellectual Property Agent Ltd., attended the conference together with General Manager Hua Xiao, and Vice General Manager Yingcong Xu.

AIPPI is a non-profit organization established in 1897 and headquartered in Switzerland. It has established branches in over 70 countries around the world so far and has over 8,000 registered members. An international conference and an executive committee meeting are held once every two years. AIPPI’s purpose is to improve and promote international protection for intellectual property rights, strengthen research on IP law legislation in various countries and ensure international harmony in IP law in order to facilitate effective protection for IP rights around the world.

The W&B team enjoyed this extraordinary meeting with 2,500 new and existing IP law clients and practitioners, discussed Chinese IP protection status and development strategy for international enterprises. The team also visited strategic cooperative partners in Rome Italy and shared W&B’s latest cases and honors with them.

During the visit both new and existing clients and strategic partners from various countries expressed their admiration for W&B’s professionalism and its continued expansion of the market in the recent years.
