On December 18th ~ 19th at the Oriental Land entertainment complex, the Shanghai Media Group (hereinafter “SMG”) held a training seminar for its legal department, and Watson & Band was invited as SMG’s permanent legal advisor. Directors and legal counsel from the legal departments of SMG and its subsidiaries attended the seminar.

During the two-day training program, Watson & Band partner Xiaosu Zhu summarized W&B’s work for SMG over the past year and delivered an in-depth presentation of cases that W&B handled for SMG. In particular, he provided special training concerning the due diligence obligations of media organizations during the program production process. He also discussed other relevant issues that arose during W&B’s provision of legal services to SMG. In addition, at the Q&A session Mr. Zhu engaged in constructive dialogue with SMG legal counsel on issues they encountered during the routine legal services.
